- New Covenant UMC is Mission Minded. We sponsor a number of Mission projects and each month an
offering is received for a Special Mission project. Over the past few months we have supported the to
help with expenses for a Men's Retreat and in March we supported Shining Hope Farms, a local group
which offers therapies for people living with disabilities. Our Special Mission offerings are designated to
different community needs and organizational groups.
We also support the Western North Carolina Conference Disaster Relief Response Committee which will
channel the funds for the victims of the February tornadoes. Others who have received gifts from our
Church Family's Special Mission Offerings are Gideons, American Cancer Society, Crisis Pregnancy
Center, and a local middle school.
New Covenant also takes care of Church Family Members through a Special Ministries Fund. This fund
is available to assist with medical expenses, rent, power bills and car repairs. This is a very confidential
mission known only to the four Committee Members. New Covenant's love shines not only through our
Church family get-togethers, but also through our love gifts.
